Thank you for hiring from The Vintage Table. Please look after our china – collect and return on time and as arranged, after your event please rinse your china in warm soapy water, then pop it in the dishwasher on a short cycle with
ABSOLUTELY NO POWDER, repack carefully and pay for any breakages.

1.0 Hire Period
Our standard hire period is 3-4 days or to a mutually agreed time prior to pick up. Please contact us if you require items for longer periods. Extended hire is generally available subject to other bookings.
2.0 Wash-Up & Care
You are responsible for our products during the hire period, including items left at a venue or outside our premises without an appointment. This includes damage, breakage and loss. If part of a set (e.g. part of a trio or cake stand) is damaged, you are liable for the replacement cost of the whole set. Replacement values are on our full Terms and Conditions available on request. Any damages will be paid from the bond. If damage or loss is greater than the bond, the customer agrees to pay the balance. We inspect all items on return and will advise of any additional charges for cleaning or damage as soon as possible. Late returns are charged at 40% of the total hire per day, starting the day after items are due, sounds severe but imagine if you were waiting on that one teapot for your wedding set up!
5.0 Responsibility
The Vintage Table takes no responsibility for any injury to any party through breakage of items or other accidents during the hire period. All hire items remain the property of The Vintage Table. By hiring from us you have agreed to our Terms and Conditions listed on our website.

2.0 Wash-Up & Care
- Vintage china is fragile, so please take care when handling.
- Ideally please hand wash your hire items with mild detergent, rinse, dry and repack them in the manner they were received, ready for return, unless you have made other arrangements with us.
- Alternatively items can be washed in warm soapy water and then put in the dishwasher through a short rinse and dry cycle but NO POWDER can be put in the dishwasher.. it will strip the gilt off the edges.
- Silverware needs to be washed as soon as possible after use as food remnants can damage the silver. Please dry with a tea towel or water spots quickly appear
- Tea-lights - candles, lace, ribbons etc need to be removed from tea-light holders and jars.
- Please return all packaging and crates or you may be charged for replacement.
- Silver candlesticks – wax must be removed before return, soak in hot water then dry immediately.
- Vintage linen can be gentle machine washed and cannot go in the dryer. Linen requiring additional washing to remove stains (ie. soaking and additional washings) on return will incur an additional laundering charges.
